The Next Step™ program has been specifically designed to serve young, transition age individuals (18-29) with developmental disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Executive Functioning Disorders, ADHD, and other learning disabilities that may lead to barriers to employment. Students that will be considered for entry into this program should possess a high school diploma or certificate of completion/attendance.
All students will need to furnish Next Step™ with a copy of their high school transcripts, and our office may be inclined to request them from your previous school. Every student will need to sign a records release form in our office. Parents can complete this short survey to help us understand your child a little better.
At this point, we are unable to run concurrently with any high school continuing education programs. Students that are currently enrolled with the Kern High School District will not become eligible until they complete and exit that program. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
